This cabin is located approximately 13 miles east of Marquette just off
of M-28 on Kawbawgam Road. Sitting on 3 wooded acres and about 100' from the shore of the lake. Kawbawgam
Lake is not a swimming Lake, yet there is a path down to the water where a small aluminum boat
is available for some great fishing (Walleye & Pike) or just relaxing on the lake. Kawbawgam Lake
is a private lake with no public access, so lake traffic is extremely light. Enjoy morning coffee on the large deck
and view some wildlife. Geese, ducks, great blue herons, osprey and occasional bald eagle are some of the regulars.
A gas BBQ grill just outside the door on the deck for cooking. Just down from the deck is a nice stone fire pit for
campfires, or cooking. The inside of the cabin is fully furnished including cookware, dishes, linens, TV with 28 channels.
The cabin has one bedroom with a double bed, a double pull out futon in the living room. There is extra sleeping in
the basement with a queen bed, and double futon. the basement has a walk out door to the outside. Use the indoor
bathroom facililty, or no need to come inside with the outdoor faciltiy available (nice and clean). The shower is located
in the basement, (the basement is not finished) with a half bath upstairs off the bedroom. The cabin is clean, cozy
and in good condition. The Ojibway Casino is located just down M-28 one mile. Lake Superior is also just a mile
away with lots of sandy beaches. From mid-July to early August the wild blueberries flourish in the sand dunes near
by. Great for pancakes!
Only a short driving distance to down town Marquette. Other attractions
such as Sugar Loaf Mountain, Laughing Whitefish Falls, Mattson Park in the Lower Harbor, Presque Isle Park and
Picinic Rocks Beach are all just a short driving distance. There are many hiking and biking trails in Marquette.
If you need any information on things to do we will gladly give you some suggestions, tips, and directions if needed.
